Vitae

• I completed my undergraduate studies at the University "Al. I. Cuza", Iasi, Romania .
• I studied for a doctorate and defended my PhD thesis in Mathematics at the University of Paris-Sud (Paris XI), Orsay , under the supervision of Pierre Pansu.
• I held a position of maitre de conférences at the University of Lille 1, France.
• I held several long and short term visiting positions at the Max -Planck-Institut fur Mathematik in Bonn, and at IHES (Institute des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques) in Paris.
• In 2004 I defended the second thesis in the French system (habilitation à diriger des recherches).
