Giacomo Micheli

Curriculum Vitae Research
I completed my Ph.D. at the Zurich Graduate School in Mathematics, advised by Prof. Joachim Rosenthal in June 2015. In the Autumn of 2015 I was a postdoctoral fellow at MIT working under the supervision of Prof. Bjorn Poonen. Since February 2016 I have been working as a research fellow in the group of Prof. D. R. HeathBrown at the University of Oxford. Mainly, I am interested in arithmetic over finite fields and number theoretic questions motivated by cryptography. More in general, I love whenever pure mathematics is applied to solve concrete problems. If you like my work and/or you want to share some ideas feel free to contact me. What's new: Oxford Mathematics researchers and undergraduates expose security flaw I will give a talk at the Number Theory seminar in Oxford at 16.00 on March 8, 2018 At Columbia University in September 2018 At the EPFL starting October 2018
