Current Group

I work with a number of people in Oxford, as well as with groups around the world. As such, I do not have a 'group' in the US sense. Nevertheless, there are a number of people in Oxford who are primarily supervised by me (or, are paid by grants for which I am the PI). These are listed below.

Finn Box is a Post-Doc working on the dynamics of elastic instabilities. Finn's work is primarily experimental, but he also gets involved in the theory side.

Alex Bradley is a first-year DPhil student. He works on the elasto-capillarity, particularly dynamical aspects associated with instability and drying.

Matthew Butler is a first-year DPhil student. He works on some aspects of elastocapillarity inspired by insect adhesives.

Michael Gomez is a third-year DPhil student working on the dynamics of elastic snap-through.

Doireann O'Kiely is a Post-Doc working on the dynamics of elastic instabilities, particularly wrinkling.

Ousmane Kodio is a second-year DPhil student working on some hydrodynamic analogues of elastic instabilities. So far he has focussed on situations in which a fluid flow causes or is caused by wrinkling.

Matteo Taffetani is a Post-Doc working on the numerical simulations of instability in elastic shells.
