I am a Departmental Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute and Christ Church College at the University of Oxford. I am part of the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Maths (OCIAM) research group.
My research uses mathematical modelling to study different problems in fluid dynamics, many of which are motivated by applications in geoscience and the environment. I am particularly interested in using mathematics to tackle challenges in the energy transition. I have also worked on several projects on the maths of rowing and cycling.
Outside of my research, I teach 1st and 2nd year courses in applied maths at Christ Church College, and I lecture within the Mathematical Institute.
