Workshop on "Frontiers in Nonlocal Nonlinear PDEs"

Anacapri, 5-8 July, 2022

Scientific Topic:

This workshop is aimed at advancing the research in the field of Aggregation-Diffusion Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). They constitute the basic language in which most of the nonlocal phenomena, appearing for instance in collective behavior models in mathematical biology, opinion formation in social sciences, or in Levy processes in mathematical finance, can be written.  The modelling based on such PDEs and their mathematical analysis, complemented by the design of numerical schemes and their simulation in applications, are the main topics of the conference. We will concentrate on models where the non-locality of operators is the most important difficulty.

This workshop is partially funded by the Advanced Grant Nonlocal-CPD: "Nonlocal PDEs for Complex Particle Dynamics: Phase Transitions, Patterns and Synchronization" of the European Research Council Executive Agency (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No. 883363).
