I have worked in algebraic and arithmetic geometry for some time but I am now (2023) moving toward history of mathematics, with a focus on  late 19th century and early 20th century mathematics. I am also interested in philosophy of mathematics. I am in particular interested in G.H. Hardy and his life and times.

I still have a number of mathematical concerns, which I would like to propose to students interested in writing a PhD under my guidance. These include questions about inseparable points on abelian varieties, and questions about Faltings heights and the Riemann-Roch theorem.
