Research Interests

Gui-Qiang G. Chen's main research areas lie in nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs), nonlinear analysis, and their applications to other areas of Mathematics and Science. His recent research interests include nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws, shock wave theory, nonlinear PDEs of mixed type, free boundary problems, geometric analysis, and stochastic PDEs. His research interests also include measure-theoretical analysis, weak convergence methods, statistical physics, fluid mechanics, and numerical analysis.
