Research synopsis

My research is primarily in biological and biomedical applications of mathematics.

Current themes

  • Microbiological fluid dynamics, including mucociliary dynamics and spermatozoa dynamics
  • Reaction–diffusion systems, from stability studies to transport on biologically realistic imaged domains
  • Pattern formation, especially on growing domains and with time delays
  • Ocular surface fluid dynamics and solute transport
  • Models of cell movement, signalling and interaction
  • Tumour modelling and chemotherapy scheduling
Prospective researchers. I am keen to hear from well-qualified prospective DPhil students and potential academic visitors. A selection of research interests and examples is available in the research gallery.
