A picture of me

About me

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research associate in the Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford. I am investigating the interaction between meltwater and ice sheets, with a particular interest in how increasing surface melt will impact the Greenland ice sheet.

I recently completed my DPhil in industrially focussed mathematical modelling, where I worked alongside Nestlé modelling and simulating cereal extrusion. I completed my undergraduate at The University of Western Australia in Perth (where I am originally from).

I can be contacted through email (mcphail_@_maths.ox.ac.uk, without the underscores) or via Twitter (@mathsmcphail).
