My PhD was in analytic number theory and additive combinatorics, in particular I thought about Waring's problem and a variation of it. I wrote a short introduction to Waring's problem for non-mathematicians. There are two versions: I prefer the slightly longer version, but there is also a shorter version for people in a hurry.
I completed my PhD in Cambridge in 2011, under the supervision of Professor Ben Green. My thesis title is Bracket quadratics as asymptotic bases for the natural numbers.
