Postdoctoral research
If you are interested in joining our group then there are plenty of opportunities. We are always happy to discuss ideas and welcome applications from various funding sources, including the following:
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Fellowship
No limit on postdoctoral experience but mobility in terms of crossing a national boundary is essential: researchers must not have resided or carried
out their main activity in the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline.
The annual submission deadline is early September.
- EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellowship
These are three-year positions. Projects should fall into one of the EPSRC priority areas.
- Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship
Three years of funding for those with a UK degree (PhD at least submitted, but not more than four years of postdoctoral experience),
and/or a temporary academic position in the UK but no permanent post. The annual submission deadline is in March.
- Royal Commission Exhibition of 1851 Fellowships
Applicants must be within three years of completing their PhD. The annual submission deadline is in February.
- Newton International Fellowship
Two years of funding plus follow-up money for 10 years for junior researchers.
This is for people who are not UK citizens and who are not working in the UK already. The annual submission deadline is in March.
- Hooke Fellowship
These are internal fellowships at the Mathematical Institute.
